Fox News Reports: Media Industry in Afghanistan Slowly Growing

Fox News reporter Conor Powell recently covered the success of Afghanistan's first travel show, On the Road. The article highlights both the growth of small media companies in Afghanistan and the efforts of On the Road host Mujeeb Arez to reintroduce Afghans to their own history and culture while showcasing examples of progress in the country's development. Powell writes, "After 30 years of war, Mujeeb explains, many Afghans know very little about their own history outside of the wars.

'On the Road is an attempt to introduce them to their culture and country,' he said.

He also hopes it will both educate and inspire his countrymen. The show is produced by Tolo TV, Afghanistan’s largest private TV station, and is supported by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID)."
